Jess & James - The Holt Fleet - Wedding Photography Worcestershire
Monday 13th April 2020
Jess and James Wedding day began with Jess and her bridesmaids getting ready in her parents house. It was all hands on deck to get ready in time and her uncle even ended helping out by curling Jess's hair! It was a real stunner of a DIY wedding with all of thier friends and family pitching in to help out with all the details from building the bridal car from scratch especially for the day, hair and makeup to the cake! On route to the most beautiful church (Christ Church) Lower Broadheath we stopped off at James & Jess's home (which could have been a wedding venue itself!) for a few photos. After the ceremony they headed to their venue the Holt Fleet, a venue i have not photographed at before but one that i would like to again!
The weather was gorgeous, the venue stunning and the day was filled with laughter from begining to end.
Once Jess and James had returned from the venue they were kind enough to answer a few questions.
How did the propsal go?
James propsed in Amsterdam on a bridge in the red light district! We were there for my baby cousins 18th birthday, with my sister and 2 cousins. James had okayed the proposal and planned it with them! He knew i wouldnt resist taking a selfie on a bridge! He told me he had decided a long time ago to marry me and got down on one knee. We just floated around AMsterdam after ringing our closest family & friends.
What Made you choose your Venue?
We chose our venue because they couldn’t do enough for us (#theholtfleetisawesome)! I was planning a village hall but after finding out how much work it would be The Holt Fleet won hands down! They were lovely from the get go, have amazing photo opportunities, great menus (especially for the veggies) and the venue room was beautiful!
What was your theme / style of wedding and why did you pick it?
Navy white and sunflowers featuring classic cars was our theme! Navy was always a plan for our bridesmaids as it is such a flattering colour! Sunflowers were all over Pinterest navy & white weddings!
What made you fall in love with your dress?
My dress made me feel like an elvish princess (true to my geek nature). It was the perfect mix of the princess dress I’ve always wanted & the modern dress I had dreamt up!
What was your stand out moment of the day?
Jess - Seeing James as I walked down the aisle, surrounded by loved ones!
James - said the car making it with out breaking down & not pissing himself at the alter as he had to nervous wee every 5 seconds......he then said state the obvious! ????
Any advice for future couples?
Pay someone to do your wedding invites! I love my hand made ones so much, but it took all mine & my friends and family’s time!
Also don’t ask your husband serious questions when he’s gaming / ‘micromanaging the industrial grid’!
A massive thank you to Jess and James for having me along to capture the day. It was one to remember!
